Woke up early yesterday to head to the fun farm at sta. elena for my son's family day. Took us less than an hour to get there from alabang. The place isn't hard to find at all. Just take the cabuyao exit, turn right and you'll see it already.
the first thing you'll see. a big open space with an obstacle course for kids, sand area with slides and swings and a picnic area. i suggest you do this last, after having lunch or meryenda.
the fishing area
Since alejandro loves fish and he's been looking forward to going fishing with me, thats the first activity we tried.
Unfortunately, i was not able to catch any fish (alejandro's yaya did, though). i think its because the fish there are way too small and fast. haha :) They use worms as baits so be prepared! Haha
on the way to our next activity which is horse back riding and that carabao thing we bumped into ducks. of course my kids tried to chase them. especially adriana.
Their horses are not that big, perfect size for kids.
My son also enjoyed riding this kalesa being pulled by a carabao. Make sure to ride with them or hold their hands while on it though because the ride gets bumpy and there are sudden pulls by the carabao that might make your kids fall off.
The farm at Sta. Elena has the nicest rabbit and guinea pig feeding area. The feeds are free and unlimited.
After having lunch (make sure to bring baon because there is no restaurant at the farm), we made the kids play and run around. i love seeing my kids outdoors, moving, running and interacting with other kids.
take your kids and whole family here and enjoy the simple farm life even for just a couple of hours. make your kids go out, ditch their gadgets and play like how we used to play.
